Department of Energy OMNI Technology alliance internship (OMNI)

This 10-week summer program offers internships to undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of cybersecurity, information technology, and other related fields, with the opportunity to participate for up to three consecutive summers.

ORNL participates in the OMNI Program.

DOE OMNI is offered full-time at ORNL for 10 weeks and provides interns the opportunity to be mentored in areas of cybersecurity and information technology. This program values real-world experiences to enhance the participants’ educational experiences. Virtual internships are also allowed in certain cases.

Timelines

Eligibility Overview

• U.S. citizen
• Age +18 years
• GPA 3.0+
• Studying cybersecurity or other IT-related fields
• Full-time undergraduate of graduate student or recent graduate (AS/BS)

 

Pay and Allowances

  • Weekly stipend of $750-$1,000 dependent on level of education
  • Weekly minimum housing allowance of $240
  • Travel reimbursement will be provided for inbound and outbound expenses up to $1,000 if relocating farther than 50 miles to Oak Ridge
